Road Fighter on the NES is one of those old-school arcade racers that feels simple at first—until you realize how fast things get. You're basically just dodging traffic and trying not to run out of gas, but the cars come at you quick, and the scrolling speed picks up fast. It's got that classic Konami charm, even if the graphics are super basic by today's standards.
What's cool is how it forces you to balance speed with survival—you can floor it, but one wrong move and you're spinning out. The fuel mechanic keeps you from just hugging the slow lane the whole time, too. It's not the deepest racer, but for a game from '84, it's got a surprising amount of tension. Definitely a neat piece of racing game history.
