About Ren & Stimpy Show, The - Buckeroos!
Ren & Stimpy Show, The - Buckeroos! came out in 1993 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was published by THQ, a company known for many licensed games from that period. On the NES, a system filled with platformers and cartoon adaptations, this game was another attempt to bring a popular TV show to the console.
You control both Ren and Stimpy, switching between them to use their unique abilities. Ren can jump higher, while Stimpy is stronger and can break certain blocks. The main goal is to navigate through side scrolling levels, defeating enemies and finding items to progress. Signature mechanics include collecting rubber nipples from Mr. Horse to earn extra lives and using a limited supply of plungers as projectile weapons. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with some awkward controls making the difficulty feel unfair at times. Playing it feels like wrestling with the controller more than the enemies on screen.
