Reigen Doushi (japan) Game

Reigen Doushi is one of those weird, obscure NES games that never left Japan—which is a shame because it’s actually kind of a hidden gem. You play as this psychic detective solving supernatural cases, and the whole thing feels like a mix of point-and-click adventure and light RPG elements. The pixel art’s got that classic 8-bit charm, and the cases start off simple (haunted houses, missing people) before getting seriously bizarre.
Controls are a little clunky by modern standards, but once you get used to it, there’s something oddly satisfying about using psychic powers to interrogate ghosts or dig up clues. The dialogue’s all in Japanese, so unless you’re fluent, you’ll need a guide or translation patch. Still, if you’re into retro weirdness, it’s worth dusting off an emulator for this one.
