Red Arremer - Makaimura Gaiden is this weird little Game Boy spin-off of Ghosts 'n Goblins where you actually play as Firebrand, the red demon everyone hates from the main series. Instead of punishing platforming, it's more of an action-RPG—you explore maze-like levels, grab upgrades, and even talk to NPCs (yes, demons have conversations now).

First thing you'll notice? The controls feel heavier than Arthur's armor, but once you get used to it, flying around as Firebrand is kinda fun. The levels are packed with secrets, and some of the boss fights will wreck you if you don't figure out their patterns. It's not as brutal as the main games, but don't expect a walk in the park either.

Honestly, it's a neat twist if you're into retro oddities—just don't go in expecting classic GnG gameplay. The demon's life has its own challenges.
