Rat Attack is one of those weird little N64 gems that somehow makes pest control feel like an action-packed strategy game. You’re basically a rat exterminator, but instead of boring traps, you’ve got gadgets, explosives, and even a vacuum gun to herd these little troublemakers. The rats scatter in all directions—some climb walls, others burrow—and you’ve gotta think fast to corner them before they wreck everything.
At first, I thought it’d be too simple, but the levels get surprisingly tricky. One wrong move and the rats slip past you, chewing up furniture or disappearing into vents. The different exterminator characters actually matter, too—some are faster, others have better gadgets, and figuring out who works best for each mess is half the fun. Plus, the rats have this weirdly charming, cartoonish chaos to them.
It’s not the prettiest N64 game, but there’s something oddly satisfying about pulling off a perfect rat ambush. If you like puzzle-action hybrids with a silly streak, this one’s worth a shot.
