About Rambo (japan)
Rambo for the NES came out in 1987 from Pack-In-Video. It was one of many movie tie-ins from that period, trying to capture the feel of the films on the console. You control John Rambo, and the game is a side-scrolling action adventure. Your main goal is to rescue Colonel Trautman from a prison camp, which sends you through jungles, rivers, and enemy bases.
You move screen by screen, using your knife for close combat and a limited supply of arrows for ranged attacks. You also have a health bar that depletes quickly from enemy contact, so careful movement is essential. The game is known for its high difficulty; enemies respawn frequently, and navigating the river sections on a raft requires precise timing.
