About Rally Bike
Rally Bike came to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, a conversion of Taito's earlier arcade game. It was part of that wave of straightforward action titles that filled out the NES library, a simple concept built for quick sessions rather than a long campaign.
You control a motocross rider on a top-down track, racing against a pack of computer-controlled bikes. The main goal is to simply finish each course before your fuel runs out. Your fuel depletes constantly, and crashing into obstacles or other riders drains your tank significantly. You can stop at pit areas to refuel, but this costs precious time and allows your rivals to pull ahead. The game moves at a brisk pace, demanding quick reflexes to navigate tight corners and avoid collisions. It feels like a constant battle against your own dwindling gas gauge as much as the other racers.
