Rainbow Six on N64 is one of those rare shooters where you actually have to think before blasting away. You're leading a counter-terrorism squad, and the game makes you feel every bit of that responsibility—mess up the planning phase, and your team gets wiped out fast.
First thing you'll notice is the mission planner, where you map out routes and assign weapons like you're some tactical genius. Then comes the actual mission, where all your careful plans immediately fall apart because someone opened the wrong door. The controls feel a bit clunky by today's standards, but there's something satisfying about nailing a perfectly coordinated breach.
It's slower than most N64 shooters, but that's the point—running in guns blazing gets you killed. You'll either love the methodical pace or bounce off hard. Either way, it's still one of the most unique shooters on the system.
