Raid on Bungeling Bay is one of those NES classics that feels way ahead of its time. You're flying a little helicopter over these islands, bombing factories and dodging enemy planes—simple in theory, but the way the islands sprawl out makes it weirdly strategic. At first, you'll just be trying not to crash into the water (which happens more than you'd think), but then you realize the factories keep rebuilding if you don't wipe them out fast enough.

The controls take a second to click—Z and X for shooting, arrows for movement—but once they do, it's pure 80s arcade chaos. Enemy turrets pop up everywhere, and those fighter planes? They love sneaking up behind you. The music's this frantic synth loop that somehow never gets old.
