The sonar pings give me mild submarine-movie anxiety, and I swear the AI cheats sometimes.

There's a second mode where you control a fighter plane shooting down bombers, which feels totally different—faster, more arcade-y. Neither mode overstays its welcome, and the whole thing has that early Game Boy charm where simple mechanics somehow stick in your brain.
