RR64 is that classic Ridge Racer arcade feel squeezed into an N64 cartridge—which means it’s all about drifting around corners way faster than you should. The handling’s super loose, so you’ll be sliding through turns like you’re on butter, and honestly, it takes a race or two to stop spinning out completely. Tracks loop back on themselves in that weird Ridge Racer way, and the music’s got that late-90s techno vibe that somehow still works.
Split-screen multiplayer is where it really shines, though. Nothing like nudging your friend into a wall when they’re mid-drift and watching them completely lose it. The car selection’s decent, but you’ll probably stick with the ones that slide just right after a while. It’s not the prettiest racer on the N64, but the speed makes up for it.
