You pilot the R-9 spacecraft through horizontally scrolling levels, clearing each stage of hostile forces to reach and destroy a boss. You can attach the Force to your ship's front or back for extra firepower, or send it out as a stationary floating shield. This mechanic defines every decision, as you constantly reposition it to block incoming fire or attack enemies from different angles. The game is notoriously difficult, with enemy patterns and environmental hazards demanding precise movement and memorization.
