About Quattro Sports (unl)
Quattro Sports came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993, an unlicensed cartridge from Camerica and Codemasters. It was part of that era when companies tried to pack multiple experiences onto a single game, offering four different sports titles to play.
You control the athletes across baseball, soccer, tennis, and BMX racing. The main goal is simply to win each match or race. In baseball, you pitch and bat; in soccer, you pass and shoot; tennis has you volleying; BMX racing is about navigating a side-scrolling course with jumps. The mechanics are straightforward, with simple button presses for actions like kicking or swinging. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty can feel uneven, especially in the more physics-based BMX section. Playing it feels like flipping through a sampler of basic sports simulations from that time.
