Q*bert on Game Boy is that weird little arcade classic where you bounce a round orange guy around a pyramid, flipping tiles with every hop. The controls take a second to click—diagonal jumps feel awkward at first—but once you get the rhythm, it’s weirdly satisfying to watch the whole pyramid change color.
Enemies show up just to ruin your day, of course. Those purple snake things? Absolute jerks. You can dodge them or hop on a flying disc to escape, but one wrong move and Q*bert goes tumbling into the void. The later levels get brutal, with disappearing tiles and more enemies than you can shake a joystick at. It’s simple, but man, does it get under your skin.
Not bad for a Game Boy port, honestly—just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
