About Puzznic (japan)
Puzznic came out for the Game Boy in 1990, published by Taito. It was one of many puzzle games that found a comfortable home on Nintendo's handheld, offering a portable challenge during the system's early years.
You don't control a character, but instead manipulate colored blocks on a grid. The goal is to clear each screen by matching two identical blocks that are touching, either horizontally or vertically. The main mechanics involve pushing blocks one space at a time; you can only move them if there's an empty space to push into, and blocks will fall if the support beneath them is removed. The game progresses screen by screen, with the puzzles gradually introducing more complex arrangements and requiring you to think several moves ahead. It feels like a quiet, methodical test of your planning skills.
