About Puzznic
Puzznic came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, published by Taito. It was part of that wave of puzzle games on the NES where you could just pick it up and play without a long story to follow. The focus was purely on the challenge right in front of you.
You control a cursor to pick up and drop colored blocks, one at a time. The main goal is to clear each screen by making blocks of the same color touch; when they connect, they vanish. The key mechanics involve sliding blocks into place, sometimes using other blocks as stepping stones or to trigger chain reactions. The game starts simply but the puzzles get quite difficult, demanding careful planning for each move. It feels satisfying when a tricky screen finally clears after you figure out the right sequence.
