About Puzzle
Puzzle came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed and published by Nintendo. It was one of those straightforward titles from the later part of the NES library, a digital version of a sliding tile game you might have played with physical pieces.
You control the cursor to slide scrambled picture tiles into an empty space, working to reassemble the original image. The main goal is to complete each picture before your time runs out. Key mechanics include the ability to pause and view the solved image for reference, though you can only do this five times per puzzle, and a risk-reward feature where you can play a quick game of chance against the computer; winning lets you swap any two tiles, but it costs you sixty seconds. The game starts simply but the puzzles get quite demanding, especially in the eight standard levels and the two expert ones. It feels like a quiet, focused test of your patience and spatial reasoning.
