About Purikura Pocket 3
Purikura Pocket 3 was a Game Boy release from 1999, developed by Atlus. It arrived late in the handheld's life, a time when developers were still finding creative ways to use the limited hardware. This title was part of a series that translated the popular Japanese photo sticker booth experience into a portable game.
You control a character navigating a series of themed rooms and backdrops. Your main goal is to take photos by positioning your character, choosing poses, and applying various stamps, frames, and decorative effects to the pictures. Signature mechanics include dressing up your avatar with different hairstyles and outfits before a shoot, and then using a simple editing suite to customize the final sticker sheet.
