Purikura Pocket is one of those weird little Game Boy oddities that never left Japan—it's basically a digital sticker photo simulator before sticker photos were even a thing. You pick from a handful of high school girls (each with their own slightly off-kilter personality), dress them up in different outfits, and snap pics with goofy filters and props. The whole thing feels like a prototype for those photo booths you'd find in arcades later.

It's janky, the menus are all in Japanese, and half the charm is figuring out what the heck you're even selecting. But there's something oddly satisfying about slapping a giant cat ear headband on your character or making her pose with a fake mustache. Definitely more of a novelty than a deep game, but if you're into retro Japanese weirdness, it's a fun five-minute distraction.

Just don't expect any actual gameplay—this is pure digital dress-up with a side of early '90s kawaii chaos.
