Oh man, The Punisher on NES—what a weird little relic. You play as Frank Castle blasting his way through grimy NYC streets, taking down mobsters with a surprisingly decent (for LJN) third-person shooter setup. The controls are a little stiff, but there’s something satisfying about mowing down waves of goons in alleys and warehouses.
Boss fights are the real highlight—you’ll face off against some classic Marvel villains, though Kingpin at the end is just brutal. Like, "throw your controller" brutal unless you had that turbo-fire cheat. The sprites are chunky, the music’s forgettable, but it’s got that weird LJN charm where you can’t decide if it’s janky or kinda fun. Definitely a niche pick for NES collectors.
