This Game Boy port of The Punisher is basically a side-scrolling revenge fantasy where you blast through waves of goons as Frank Castle. It’s got that classic arcade beat-em-up feel, but with way more guns—expect a lot of spraying bullets into crowds of thugs who really had it coming.

Spider-Man shows up now and then to lend a hand, which feels random but kinda cool? The controls are simple—run, jump, shoot—but some of the platforming bits can be janky. Still, there’s something satisfying about mowing down bad guys with a shotgun while the Punisher’s grimace stares back at you from the top of the screen.

If you’re into retro action games with zero subtlety, this one’s a solid time-waster.
