About Probotector 2 (europe)
Probotector 2 came out for the Game Boy in 1992, published by Konami. It was part of that wave of portable action games that tried to squeeze a console experience into your hands. You got a solid, no frills run and gun title that felt right at home on the monochrome screen.
You control a lone soldier, moving screen by screen to eliminate an alien invasion. Your main goal is to shoot everything in your path and survive to the end of each stage. The game gives you a few key tools: you can collect different weapon power ups, like a spread shot or laser, and you can also jump onto and ride certain enemy projectiles to reach higher platforms. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is steep, demanding quick reflexes and careful movement. It feels tense and demanding, a real test of your focus and patience.
