Pro Yakyuu Stadium '91 is one of those classic Game Boy baseball games that somehow nails the simplicity of the sport while still feeling satisfying. You pick your team (I always went for the Giants, no shame), and the controls are straightforward—pitch, swing, run. No fancy mechanics, just pure baseball vibes.
The pixel art is charmingly blocky, and the gameplay moves fast enough that you don’t get bogged down. Fielding can be a little janky, but once you get the hang of it, pulling off a double play feels weirdly rewarding. It’s not the deepest baseball sim out there, but it’s perfect for quick innings between bus rides or before bed.
If you’re into retro sports games, this one’s a solid pick.
