Pro Wrestling on Game Boy is one of those old-school gems that feels clunky at first but weirdly addictive once you get the hang of it. You’ve got a roster of Japanese wrestlers with exaggerated moves—think elbow drops that look like they’d shatter concrete—and the controls are simple but satisfying once you figure out the timing. The sprites are tiny, sure, but there’s something charming about watching these little pixel dudes suplex each other.
Matches are fast, and the AI isn’t exactly genius-level, but it’s fun to experiment with different grapples and see what ridiculous animations pop up. The crowd noise is just a few bleeps, but hey, it’s a Game Boy. You’ll probably play a few rounds, laugh at how over-the-top it all is, and then realize you’ve been at it for an hour.
