About Predator (japan)
Predator on the NES was a 1987 release from Capcom, a game that tried to capture the feel of the movie on the popular console. It was one of many action titles from that era attempting to translate a film license into a playable experience, with the typical limitations and creative choices that process involved.
You control Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer, moving through jungle and industrial settings. Your main goal is to survive and ultimately defeat the Predator. The game uses a side-scrolling perspective for most levels, but it also switches to a first-person view in certain areas where you must target the cloaked alien. You have a limited supply of ammunition for your rifle and grenades, forcing you to manage your resources carefully. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is quite high, with enemies respawning frequently and the Predator itself being a formidable threat. Navigating the environments while conserving ammo and dealing with constant attacks creates a tense and challenging experience.
