Power Pad Test Game

Power Pad Test is one of those weird little NES oddities—basically a tech demo for the Power Pad, that big, clunky floor mat controller that never really caught on. You don’t so much "play" it as you do awkwardly stomp on buttons while the game beeps at you. It’s got a few simple minigames, like running in place or hitting the right panels in order, but mostly it just makes you appreciate how far motion controls have come since the '80s.
Honestly, it’s more of a novelty than anything—fun for about five minutes if you’ve got the actual pad (good luck finding one), but emulating it just isn’t the same. Still, kind of a neat piece of gaming history if you’re into that sort of thing.
