Power Blade 2 is one of those NES action games that looks simple at first—until you realize how much chaos is packed into it. You play as this futuristic dude with a boomerang blade (which, by the way, feels way cooler to throw than it sounds), slicing through robots and weird alien creatures across six different stages.
The controls are tight, but some of the jumps get brutal—especially when enemies spawn right where you’re about to land. And don’t even get me started on the bosses. The first one’s manageable, but later fights? You’ll be retrying a lot.
Oh, and pro tip: grab the power-ups whenever you can. The spread shot upgrade makes life so much easier. Just watch out for those instant-death pits. They’re everywhere.
Keyboard controls are Z (attack), X (jump), arrows to move—classic setup. Space to pause if you need a breather mid-fight.
