Pop'n TwinBee on Game Boy is a cute but surprisingly tough little shooter—you pilot a chunky pixelated ship through waves of enemies, dodging bullets and grabbing floating power-ups. The SNES version got all the attention, but this portable one still has that classic TwinBee charm, even if the screen feels a bit cramped sometimes.
It’s got that classic Konami feel—bright colors, quirky enemy designs, and those satisfying bell power-ups you knock around to upgrade your weapons. The music’s catchy too, though it’s definitely got that tinny Game Boy sound. Not the deepest shooter out there, but it’s solid for quick bursts when you want something old-school. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
