Pop Up Game

Man, Pop Up on the Game Boy takes me back—those chunky pixels and that satisfying click of the D-pad. You start off just tapping balloons as they float up the screen, thinking, "Okay, this is simple." Then suddenly, the game throws spikes, moving platforms, and these weird bubble enemies that mess up your rhythm.
The music’s got that classic bouncy chip-tune vibe, and the later levels get seriously tense. I remember getting stuck on stage 12 for ages because the balloons start zigzagging. Pro tip: Wait for the pattern to repeat instead of spamming the button. It’s one of those games that feels easy until it very much isn’t.
If you’ve got a Game Boy lying around (or an emulator, no judgment), this one’s weirdly hard to put down once you start.
