Okay, so Ponta to Hinako no Chindouchuu - Yuujou Hen is one of those weird, charming Game Boy titles that never left Japan. You play as this little dog (Ponta) and a girl (Hinako) who get teleported into a bizarre dream world—think pastel colors, floating platforms, and enemies that look like rejected toys from a cereal box.
It’s a puzzle-platformer, but the physics feel kinda janky in that classic early-90s way. Ponta can dig through soft ground, Hinako jumps higher, and you swap between them to solve puzzles. Some screens are downright cruel with their timing, but there’s something oddly satisfying about finally nailing that one jump after five tries.
Also, the music? Weirdly catchy chiptune stuff that’ll stick in your head for days. Just don’t expect a deep story—it’s mostly vibes and yelling at your screen when Ponta falls into a pit (again).
