Pokémon Stadium 2 on the N64 is basically the ultimate flex for anyone who spent hours grinding their team in Red, Blue, or Gold/Silver. You finally get to see your pixelated monsters in full 3D glory, throwing fireballs and lightning like they’re in some over-the-top anime battle. The animations are ridiculous in the best way—watching a tiny Pikachu zap a massive Onix never gets old.
It’s not just battles, though. The mini-games are where things get chaotic, especially with friends. Ever tried herding Lickitungs with a giant spoon or playing memory with Clefairies? It’s way more fun (and competitive) than it sounds. And yeah, the Spain version is the same core game, just with Spanish text—so unless you’re collecting or need that specific release, it’s the same wild Pokémon chaos you remember.
If you’ve got a save file from the Game Boy games, you can even import your team and wreck the CPU with your overpowered starters. Just don’t blame me when your level 100 Charizard gets humbled by a random trainer’s perfectly timed Hyper Beam.
