Pokemon Stadium (Spain) game

Pokémon Stadium on the N64 was the first time we got to see our favorite monsters duke it out in full 3D—and man, did it feel like magic back then. You pick your team of six, jump into the arena, and suddenly your tiny Game Boy sprites are these chunky, animated beasts throwing fire and lightning at each other. The battles are snappy, and the announcer’s over-the-top commentary somehow never gets old.

There’s a weird charm to how limited your options are compared to modern Pokémon games—no open world, no story, just straight-up battles. But that simplicity works. You can rent pre-built teams if you didn’t transfer your own from Red/Blue, though half the fun is seeing how your weird, underleveled squad holds up against the AI’s perfectly optimized picks. (Spoiler: poorly.)

It’s still one of the best couch multiplayer experiences for Pokémon fans who like their fights fast and a little chaotic.
