Pokemon Snap came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. You play as Todd Snap, a photographer riding on a rail-guided vehicle called the Zero One. Your goal is to travel through various courses like beaches and volcanoes, snapping high-scoring photos of Pokemon as they eat, sleep, and interact. You can toss apples to lure creatures into better shots or hit them with Pester Balls to provoke unique reactions. The game is slow and observational; you cannot rush, only wait for the right moment. It feels like a quiet safari where patience is always rewarded.
