Pocket Golf on Game Boy is this weirdly addictive little golf sim that somehow makes putting on a tiny screen feel satisfying. You've got these simple top-down courses with just enough obstacles—sand traps, water hazards, the usual stuff—but the physics actually feel decent for an old handheld game. First time I played, I totally underestimated how much wind would mess up my shot.

It's got that classic Japanese sports game vibe where everything's slightly exaggerated—your golfer does this dramatic swing animation, and the ball rolls with this bouncy weight to it. There's a tournament mode that gets surprisingly tense when you're trying to save par on the last hole. Not gonna lie, I've rage-quit a few times after missing an easy putt.

Still holds up if you're into retro sports games, though the lack of multiplayer hurts a bit. Definitely one of the better golf games on the original Game Boy.
