Pocket Densha is one of those weirdly charming Game Boy train sims that somehow makes watching tiny pixelated commuter trains go in circles way more fun than it should be. You start off just picking a line—I went with the Yamanote because, well, it's the Yamanote—and suddenly you're sweating over timetables and trying not to crash your little 8-bit express into a local service.

The controls are simple (just accelerate, brake, and doors), but nailing those station stops exactly on the markers? Way harder than it looks. Miss by a few pixels and you'll get the disappointed "BEEP BEEP" from the game. There's something oddly satisfying about finally getting that perfect run where every stop feels like butter.

It's definitely niche, but if you ever wanted to pretend you're a Tokyo train conductor in 1991, this is your jam. Just don't blame me when you catch yourself muttering "mamonaku tsugi wa, Shinjuku..." under your breath.
