Pocket Densha Game

Pocket Densha is one of those Game Boy games that shouldn't work as well as it does—you're literally just driving a train, but somehow it's weirdly gripping. The first time I played, I thought "how hard can this be?" before immediately overshooting my first station because I forgot to brake early enough. The pixel art trains have this chunky charm to them, and there's something satisfying about nailing the timing when you pull into a platform just right.
It's not all about speed either—if you floor it the whole time, you'll leave passengers stranded or worse, derail on tight curves. I learned that the hard way. The later routes get properly tense, especially when you're trying to sync up with connecting trains. My only gripe? That tinny Game Boy sound effect when you're late. You'll hear it in your dreams.
Perfect for quick sessions, though good luck putting it down after "one more run."
