Pocket Bass Fishing is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that somehow makes catching pixelated fish way more satisfying than it should be. You pick your lure (the frog one worked best for me), cast into these tiny lakes, and wait for that telltale tug on the line. The controls are simple, but there's something oddly tense about watching your bobber dip under—time it wrong and your bass gets away.

It's got that classic Game Boy look with chunky sprites and murky green water, but the different fish actually have weight to them when you reel in. Found myself grinning when I finally hooked the big one after like twenty minutes of nothing but minnows. Definitely a chill way to kill time if you're into fishing games or just want something low-stakes to zone out with.
