Pinball: Revenge of the Gator is one of those Game Boy classics that somehow makes a tiny black-and-green screen feel like a full arcade cabinet. You’ve got this weirdly charming alligator theme—bumpers shaped like lily pads, targets that look like snapping jaws—and the physics actually feel decent for an early handheld pinball game.
At first, it’s just about keeping the ball alive, but then you notice the little details: hit the right sequence of targets, and suddenly you’re in a bonus round where gator heads pop up for extra points. The music’s got that bouncy, repetitive charm that burrows into your brain. It’s not the deepest pinball sim, but for a quick session between bus stops or before bed, it holds up way better than it has any right to.
Just don’t tilt too aggressively—Game Boy buttons aren’t exactly built for that.
