Pinball Quest is one of those weird NES gems that makes you go, "Wait, an RPG... but with pinball?" And somehow, it works. You start off with a basic table, but then suddenly you're leveling up your flippers, unlocking magic spells to blast obstacles, and even fighting boss battles—all while keeping that silver ball in play. The first time a skeleton popped up and I had to knock it out with precise shots, I knew this wasn't your dad's pinball.
It's got that classic NES jank—some of the physics feel a little off, and the menus are clunky—but the sheer novelty of grinding for better gear in a pinball game still hooks me. The Japanese version has a few extra tables, too, if you're into that. Definitely not for everyone, but if you like weird mashups, this one's a trip.
