Parodius on the Game Boy is basically Gradius, but with way more weirdness. You're still dodging bullets and blasting enemies, except now everything's got this goofy, over-the-top vibe—think giant cat bosses and ships shaped like ducks. It's got that classic Gradius power-up system where you grab capsules to upgrade your weapons, but half the time you're too busy laughing at the absurd enemy designs to focus.
The controls feel tight, though the screen's a little cramped on the Game Boy. Still, once you get into the rhythm of dodging and upgrading, it's surprisingly addictive. Just don't expect to take it too seriously—this one's all about the chaos.
