Paperboy on the Game Boy came out in 1990, developed by Atari Games. It was part of that early wave of Game Boy titles that took arcade ideas and made them portable. You didn't get the full color arcade experience, but the core of the game was all there, ready to play anywhere.

You control a paperboy on a bicycle, delivering newspapers to subscribers on a suburban street. Your main goal is to get the papers onto the porches while avoiding obstacles like breakdancers, skateboarders, and rogue lawn sprinklers. The gameplay is split into individual houses you pass screen by screen, requiring you to aim your throws carefully. You also have a limited number of papers, so missing a target or hitting a window means you lose one. The game gets difficult quickly, with the obstacles becoming more numerous and unpredictable. It feels frantic and a little unfair at times, but nailing a perfect throw to a porch feels genuinely satisfying.
