Man, Pagemaster on Game Boy takes me back. You start off as this kid, Richard, who gets sucked into this wild library where books come to life—and suddenly you're jumping between pirate ships, dodging dragons, and solving these little puzzles that actually make you stop and think for a second.
The pixel art has that cozy, chunky Game Boy vibe, and the music? Total earworm material. At first, I kept dying in the horror section (those jumping books got me every time), but once you get the rhythm down, it’s weirdly satisfying. It’s one of those games where you can tell the devs actually cared—no filler, just solid platforming with a bookish twist.
If you’ve still got a Game Boy kicking around, this one’s a blast from the past worth revisiting.
