Pachio-kun is one of those weird little Game Boy games that feels like it got lost in translation. You're basically managing a pachinko parlor—those Japanese pinball-meets-gambling machines—but with this odd, almost too-simple charm. The sprites are tiny, the music's repetitive in that classic Game Boy way, and before long you're weirdly invested in keeping your virtual customers happy.
It's not deep, but there's something satisfying about watching the little ball bearings bounce around while you tweak the machine layouts. Definitely more of a novelty than a must-play, but if you're into obscure retro stuff, it's a neat time capsule of early '90s Japanese arcade culture.
