Pac-Attack on Game Boy is this weird little hybrid of Pac-Man and Tetris that somehow works way better than it should. You’re still dodging ghosts in a maze, but now you’re also stacking falling blocks to clear paths for Pac-Man—mess up the layout, and you’ll box him in with nowhere to run. The first few rounds feel chaotic, but once you get the hang of timing drops so Pac-Man can munch ghosts in a chain, it clicks.
It’s got that classic Game Boy aesthetic—chunky pixels, simple but satisfying sound effects—and the pacing is just right for quick sessions. Not gonna lie, the ghosts dropping in from the top still make me panic a little. If you’ve got a soft spot for retro puzzle games with a twist, this one’s a solid pick.
