Othello On GB is exactly what it sounds like—a solid, no-frills port of the classic board game for the Game Boy. The moment you boot it up, you’re greeted with that familiar black-and-green grid and those chunky pixel discs. No fancy animations, just straight-up Othello.
It’s weirdly satisfying to watch the AI flip tiles when you trap its pieces between yours, especially since the harder difficulty actually puts up a fight. I lost my first few matches before realizing you can’t just go for the corners right away—gotta play the long game. The controls are simple (d-pad to move, A to place), but the strategy? Not so much.
Perfect for quick sessions or grinding out wins against the CPU when you’re stuck somewhere without Wi-Fi. Just don’t blame me when you start seeing black and white discs in your sleep.
