Oni Iv : Kishin No Ketsuzoku Game

Oni IV: Kishin No Ketsuzoku is one of those Game Boy hidden gems that somehow flew under the radar back in the day. You start off choosing between three different spirit warriors—I went with the fire guy first, but honestly, the lightning one feels way more satisfying when you pull off combos.
The pixel art still holds up, especially during boss fights where these massive demon faces fill the screen. And don't let the "strategy" tag scare you—it's more about timing your special moves than overthinking tactics. That said, some later stages will wreck you if you just button-mash.
What really stuck with me was the music—haunting chiptune tracks that somehow make a monochrome Game Boy feel epic. Just be ready for that one swamp level where the controls get weirdly slippery. Still worth it for the final showdown though.
