Nushi Zuri 64 is one of those weirdly relaxing N64 fishing games that somehow makes sitting in a virtual boat for hours actually fun. You start off with basic gear—nothing fancy, just a rod and some starter bait—but the real hook (pun intended) is figuring out which lures actually work. The first time I played, I wasted half my cash on shiny lures that fish completely ignored.
The water physics are surprisingly decent for an N64 title—you can see ripples when you cast, and fish react differently depending on how you reel in. Some spots are packed with small fry, while others hide massive catches that snap your line if you’re not careful. It’s got that classic ’90s jank, but in a way that adds charm instead of frustration.
If you’ve ever wanted a fishing sim that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect it to replace actual fishing—unless you really hate mosquitoes.
