Nuclear Strike 64 is one of those N64 games that makes you feel like you’re barely holding onto the controller—in a good way. You’re thrown into the cockpit of an attack chopper, dodging missiles and blasting enemy bases across these massive, chaotic maps. The controls take a second to click (that N64 stick isn’t exactly precision-built for flight sims), but once they do, it’s pure adrenaline.
What I love is how the missions mix things up—one minute you’re wiping out tanks in a desert, the next you’re sneaking through a jungle to rescue hostages. The graphics hold up surprisingly well for the era, with explosions that actually feel heavy and terrain that matters (good luck trying to fly low through a city without clipping a building). If you’re into military shooters but want something that isn’t just another FPS, this one’s a blast.
