Nuclear Strike 64 is one of those N64 games that makes you realize how much fun blowing stuff up from a helicopter can be. You start off with this clunky but satisfying chopper, picking between different loadouts—I always went for the heavy rockets because, well, explosions. The missions drop you into jungles, deserts, even snowy mountains, and the controls take a second to get used to, but once you do, weaving between trees while unloading missiles feels surprisingly smooth.
The graphics are blocky by today’s standards, but the explosions still look great, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about watching tiny pixelated tanks go up in flames. Some missions get seriously tough—expect to replay a few when you accidentally crash into a bridge or run out of ammo at the worst moment. If you’re into retro action games with a bit of strategy (and a lot of firepower), this one’s a solid time capsule from the N64 era.
