Nuclear Strike 64 is one of those N64 games that somehow makes flying a helicopter feel both chaotic and weirdly tactical. You’re not just blasting everything—missions actually make you think about fuel, ammo, and which targets to hit first. The terrain’s surprisingly varied too, from tight city streets to open deserts where enemies pop out of nowhere.
Controls take a minute to get used to (this is an N64 flight sim, after all), but once it clicks, dodging missiles while lining up shots feels oddly satisfying. And yeah, the explosions are chunky in that late-’90s way—nothing like watching a whole base go up in polygons. If you ever played the old Desert Strike games, this is that but with way more going on.
Just don’t expect a walk in the park—some missions will wreck you if you rush in guns blazing.
